Guidance publications

Trinova has authored a number of landmark national publications offering practitioners guidance on good practice and approaches to development. For example, we have produced guidance materials which have been been published by the Department of Health, Department for Work and Pensions, Department of Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform, Mental Health Foundation, Royal College of Psychiatrists, Sainsbury Centre for Mental Health, Cabinet Office and Pavilion Publishing.

Recent commission

About Time: Commissioning to Transform Day and Vocational Services

Co-authored with, and published by, the Sainsbury Centre for Mental Health, this handbook is aimed at commissioners charged with modernising adult mental health day and vocational services. It sets out the national policy context, government guidance, evidence base, and provides a step-by-step guide through the re-commissioning process.

Journal editorship

Since autumn 2004, TriNova has been commissioning editor of A Life in the Day, a quarterly journal focusing on social inclusion issues for people who live with or are recovering from mental health problems. It looks at how people can enjoy fuller lives in their local communities - finding jobs, learning new skills, volunteering, or participating in arts, sports and leisure activities. Other areas explored include housing, finance, spirituality and relationships.
